Fall Menus

 

As the days cool off and the nights lengthen, we start craving for warming soups and the robust flavors characteristic of the fall kitchen. Hardy greens such as cabbage, kale & Swiss chard are wonderful braised. Root vegetables are full of flavor and sweetness: carrots, parsnip, celery-root, beets & turnips. Local salad greens are back on our plate after the hot hiatus of summer. We welcome apples, pears and quince - good in both sweet and savory dishes.
